About Krauss Club Calves
Carl and Gladys Krauss started Krauss Cattle in 1973 with a large herd of registered Hereford and commercial Angus cows. In 1981, we added Simmental to our herd. When our sons entered 4-H, we began producing Chianina and Maine Anjou influenced cattle and changed our name to Krauss Club Calves in 1983.
We now have a small herd to produce Chianina, Chimaine, high and low percentage Maine Anjou, and percentage Shorthorn and Simmental. We are a totally AI and ET program using the finest bulls available on outstanding cows. Our cattle have performed very well on the county, state, and national level.
In 1999, we produced the "Incredible Hulk", the first great Heat Seeker steer and sold him in Brad Hook's Pasture to Purple Sale. We continued selling our calves in Brad's sale through 2008. We topped the sale several times.
This year we are joining Rushley Brothers, Mike Koch, and Tim Riley to sell our calves in the Best of the Best sale.
